The E-FLY tilt float switch from MAC3 is a heavy, double chamber float with a built-in counterweight and a narrow switching angle of +/- 10°, giving a small differential (hysteresis) and accurate switching in turbulent water. The smooth teardrop profile resists fouling, making it well suited to wastewater and sewage where suspended solids and surface layers of grease are present. The gold-plated contacts resist oxidation and allow reliable switching at low dc voltage and low current as well as at mains voltage.

 

Available with PVC cable for general water applications, or with Neoprene (H07RN-F or H07BN4-F) cable where fats, oils and/or grease are present. Stocked with cable lengths shown in the list. Other lengths and cable types can be available under special order.

 

The gold contacts make the E-FLY suitable for use with an IS barrier as a “Simple Device” for applications in hazardous environments requiring EX ia certification.

 

The integrated counterweight removes the need for a separate weight or for fixing the cable inside the tank or pit. An optional galvanised steel mounting bracket is available for suspending multiple floats.
