The FineTek FAM cable float switch configuration is a small form cable float switch with small switch angle providing a smaller differential (hysteresis) and can fit through a smaller process connection. The construction is suitable for temperatures up to 80OC.

Stocked in the model FAM-C (Changeover (SPDT) contact) configuration. Stocked with Neoprene cable lengths shown in the list. Other lengths can be available under special order. Typical Application Areas:

For level control or alarms in tanks and pits with switching devices such as valves and pumps with loads less than 3 Amps. For devices with higher loads, use an interposing relay to remain below the 3 Amp limit.

Not suitable for low dc voltage applications with current below 0.5 Amps. For applications with PLCs, barriers and other controllers reading with low dc voltage and low current, use the FAK version with Reed contacts.
