The SRD-N16 MultiLog is a wall-mounted data recorder and display unit built by Simex for continuous data acquisition, on-screen charting and local display of process signals. Up to 8 channels can be configured for current, voltage, RTD or thermocouple inputs, each independently scaled and alarmed, with readings shown as live numeric values or historical trend charts on a 128 x 64 point graphic LCD (amber or white backlight). Two onboard relays (R1, R2) provide signalisation of critical conditions or can be used for basic control and regulation tasks, driven by a single channel or a group of channels with individually adjustable thresholds.
Data is stored to an 8MB internal memory (over 2 million recordings) and can be extended indefinitely via the USB Host port and a plugged-in flash drive — a 1GB drive supports continuous 8-channel recording at 1-second intervals for over a year. Configuration and monitoring are via RS-485 (Modbus RTU) using Simex’s free Loggy Soft (visualisation, archiving and printing of stored data) and S-Toolkit software. The IP 65 wall-mounted case suits installation directly in the field.
